It was the first of the Tideway Eights Heads last weekend, with our women the first to take to the 6,800m course from Chiswick to Putney.
Racing in Challenge Club Eights, and as part of the Small Club Pennant - the women had a strong row, motivated by large cheers from our supporters on Hammersmith Bridge and significantly improved on both their performance at Head of the Trent (we managed to beat crews that beat us on the Trent just 6 days prior) and improve their finish position from the year prior, ultimately ending 131st and an incredible 2nd in the Small Club Pennant. To be so close to the pennant is a hard one to take, but this is a great achievement from the girls and everyone who has supported them along the journey.
