Looking for an exciting and fun way to get fit, tone up or lose weight? Then look no further than the sport of rowing.
Rowing can help you do any or all of these within a welcoming and friendly environment so why not come and give it a try at one of our taster sessions.
At the one day taster sessions we will show you the basics of rowing both on and off the water, and the fitness training we do in a safe and fun environment although we can’t always guarantee you won’t get wet - it might rain.
When you’ve seen how much fun it can be why not join our Learn 2 row course.
Learn 2 Row Course
The Learn 2 row course is a six-week course which consists of one weekday evening and one weekend morning per week.
During this course we will help you develop your rowing skills and fitness with a variety of activities, it will also give you the chance to meet the other members of the club, train with them and even go on to compete in races if you want to.
Taster sessions and Learn to Row courses are available to anyone over 12 years old.
Rowing is an all year round sport, through the spring, summer and autumn the training is based mainly on the water and during the winter the weekday training moves to indoor rowing machines, running, circuit and weight training, whilst maintaining water training for the weekend sessions.
For the disabled we also have equipment for adaptive rowing - please contact us to discuss individual circumstances.
