Welcome to Derby Rowing Club

Derby rowing club was established in 1879 and has a long history of competitive rowing. Over the years crews have been successful at national and international level. Some club athletes have gone on to compete in the university boat race and represent Great Britain in world class events.

The club prides itself on an atmosphere which promotes the sport of rowing at all levels, from the budding Olympian to the keen veteran.

Structured training programmes are in place to ensure all athletes have the chance to reach there full potential, based on their goals and commitment.

Throughout the year the club travels to regattas and head races around the country, giving crews and individuals a chance to compete in various boat classes against other clubs.

Social rowing is supported by the club and when individuals have reached a required level of skill they can enjoy a less demanding side to the sport.
